Amazing reissue from a 1971 private press record. O.W.L (Of Wonderous Legend) is the proof that there’s still excellent albums to discover in 2011. They deliver an ambitious song cycle wich at its best transforms into dazzling psychedelia like the center piece track of the record “Midnight Carnaval”: A marvelous dreamy melodic psych/prog-rock song, impressive on many levels, with hypnotic Eastern lysergia, keyboards, flute, vibes and multi-tracked male vocals. Brilliant.
